The Atlanta WP-30L is an AIS-140 government-certified GPS tracker designed specifically for heavy commercial vehicles operating on Indian roads. AIS-140 certification is mandatory for buses, trucks, taxis, and school vehicles under the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways directive. The WP-30L meets all compliance requirements including panic button support, emergency response connectivity, and the precise positioning standards set by the Indian government.

The WP-30L supports all six major satellite constellations: GPS, India's own IRNSS (NavIC), GLONASS, GALILEO, BeiDou, and QZSS. IRNSS is India's indigenous satellite navigation system developed by ISRO, providing superior accuracy over Indian territory and surrounding regions. This multi-constellation approach delivers under 1.8-metre CEP positioning accuracy with a hot-start lock time of just 1 second, even after ignition restarts or brief signal loss.

The IP65-rated rugged casing keeps the device fully protected from dust ingress and water jets, making it reliable across engine bays, undercarriages, and exposed mounting points on commercial vehicles. How does a 2G GPS tracker work?

The device uses GPS satellites to find the exact location of your vehicle and sends that location to our servers over a 2G mobile network. You can then see your vehicle's live position, route history, and alerts on the Alphatech app from any phone or computer. Think of it as a small always-on navigator that reports to you instead of guiding the driver.
Does it require a SIM card?

Yes, a SIM card is needed to send location data to the app. The Alphatech Lite 2G comes with a subscription plan that includes the SIM and network charges. You do not need to buy or manage a separate SIM. Choose the 1 year, 2 year, or 5 year plan at the time of purchase and everything is handled for you.
How accurate is the location tracking?

Under open sky, GPS accuracy is typically within 5 to 15 meters, which is precise enough to identify the exact road, lane, and stop. Accuracy can reduce slightly inside covered parking or dense urban areas where satellite signals are partially blocked. For day-to-day fleet monitoring and route verification, the accuracy is more than sufficient.
What happens when there is no 2G network coverage?

The Alphatech Lite 2G stores up to 1,000 location points in its internal memory when network coverage is unavailable. As soon as the vehicle re-enters a coverage area, all stored data is automatically uploaded to the app and the full route history becomes visible. No location data is lost during signal gaps.
What features and alerts are available through the tracking platform?

The platform includes live location tracking, route playback up to 90 days, geofence alerts when the vehicle enters or exits a defined area, speed alerts when the set limit is exceeded, ignition on and off notifications, tamper alerts if the device wiring is disturbed, power cut alerts, and driver behavior reports that flag harsh braking, sharp acceleration, and sharp turns. You can also remotely immobilize the vehicle engine directly from the app.
